Abstract
This article describes so-called “volumetric method” of the calibration of tanks by using volumetric meter during carrying out the legal metrological control measuring tanks. Above mentioned method uses volumes measured by the meter to determine the tank capacity table. Article also shows how to determine the dose of liquid for meter which depends of the type of the tank and of the equipment used for this measurements. Volumetric method is one of the most popular method used by Local Verification Offices (measures administration authority) to calibrate horizontal cylindrical tanks, e.g. used in petrol stations.
