Abstract
This article describes calibration of vertical cylindrical tanks using optical reference line method. The method uses measurement of one reference circumference by strapping line. Then other circumferences are determinated at different levels from measurements of radial offsets from the reference one. The article also describes equipment used for those measurements. The optical reference line method is one of the method used by Local Verification Offices in Warsaw.
