Abstract
The article presents the history of metrology in Bialystok and the changes that have taken place in the Office of Measures in Bialystok over a period of 100 years. The administration of measures safeguards the reliability of measurements. It can be said that the offices of measurement “measure and protect”. On the basis of the collected materials, presented the changes that took place in the structure of the Office, how laboratories developed and how the Office adapted to the growing requirements of customers.
