Abstract
The article presents a method of conductometric testing of gold articles that may be filled with cheap substitutes, a base metals. The experience gathered at Technical Department of Regional Assay Office in Cracow allows to determine whether the method is applicable for detection and elimination of the frequently encountered forgeries in gold bars, coins and medals trading.
