Abstract
Precise measurements of plane angle have application to automotive or aircraft industry and robotics as well as to several scientific researches (e.g. the measurement of the gravitational constant G and the angular stabilization of X-ray optical components). In the frame of the project SIB 58 ANGLE new me¬asuring systems, new equipment, new measuring methods were developed, new knowledge and best practices were obtained. It enables high precision angle measurements which meet rigorous industry requirements. The angle measurement capabilities of GUM were improved.
