Direct measurement of energy to improve the effectiveness of radiation therapy – standards for absorbed dose to water

Authors Witold Rzodkiewicz - Central Office of Measures (Główny Urząd Miar)

Abstract

In this paper the measurement systems at the Central Office of Measures (GUM) using for reproduction and dissemination of the unit of the absorbed dose to water in gamma rays of radionuclide 60Co were introduced. Dosimetric systems with ionization chamber and calorimeter were used for determination of the absorbed dose of water.
