19th EURAMET General Assembly and “Making a strong case for the value of metrology” workshop with the participation of representatives of GUM.

The meeting was held in a hybrid format (2-6 June 2025). During the meeting, a number of resolutions concerning the functioning of the organisation were adopted, including, among others:
- The amendments to the organisation's status and regulations,
- the election of the EURAMET Vice-Chairperson (Annette Röttger, Germany),
- the election of four members of the Board of Directors - Hanspeter Anders (Switzerland), Michel Sega (Italy), Marek Smid (Czech Republic), Marjin van Veghel (Netherlands),
- the election of two new Chairs of the Technical Committees (representatives of Croatia and the Netherlands),
- the approval of the organisation's budget for 2026,
- the acceptance of the Designated Institutes from Slovenia and the Czech Republic as associate members of EURAMET,
- the acceptance of Uzbekistan as an associate member,
- the approval of changes to the scope of the EURAMET’s Technical Committee for Interdisciplinary Metrology.
On 6 June 2025, a workshop entitled “Making a strong case for the value of metrology” was held at the PTB headquarters in Berlin. Its aim was to support the NMIs in their efforts to cooperate with supervising ministries and to promote the value of metrology by increasing its potential in relations with national authorities.
One of the speakers was Mr Marcin Mikiel from GUM, who gave a presentation on the construction process of the Świętokrzyski Laboratory Campus of the Central Office of Measures.
