Delegation from Latvia at the Central Office of Measures
On 5 and 6 November 2024, a delegation from Latvia visited the Central Office of Measures
On 5 and 6 November 2024, a delegation from Latvia visited the Central Office of Measures, consisting of:
- Ms Ludmila Marina, Head and Quality Manager of the Latvian Metrology Bureau (LATMB),
- Mr Romans Zaharovs, Manager of the Latvian National Metrology Center (LNMC) Core Operations Department.
During the first day of the visit, the delegation from Latvia visited the Świętokrzyski Laboratory Campus of the Central Office of Measures in Kielce. The delegation was accompanied by Mr Paweł Sarek - Deputy of the Director General’s Bureau, and Mr Janusz Janik - Counselor in the Innovation and Development Department.
During the second day, a meeting of representatives of LATMB and LNMC with the President of GUM – prof. Jacek Semaniak, as well as with employees of the Metrology Departments, GUM Departments, and Regional Office of Measures in Warszawa was held during which, among others, the structure and activities of GUM, LATMB, and LNMC as well as the possibility of establishing cooperation were discussed. Moreover, during the meeting, metrologists from GUM answered, within their areas of competence, the guests’ questions.
After the meeting, the Latvian guests visited the laboratories of the Time and Length Department, the Electricity and Radiation Department, and the Physical Chemistry and Environment Department.
