Appointment of members of the Metrology Council

The Minister of Development and Technology appointed new members of the Metrology Council for the 2nd term from 2022 to 2027.

The Metrology Council was established on 6 May 2017 following the signing by the President of the Republic of Poland of an amendment to the Law on Measures. Pursuant to the Act, the Council provides opinions on the status and development trends of national metrology, the core operations of the administration of measures, strategic and annual plans as well as reports referred to in Art. 16 of the Act.

The Metrology Council, affiliated with the President of the Central Office of Measures, supports the development of metrology in Poland.

On 4 August 2022, the Minister of Development and Technology, Waldemar Buda, appointed 16 members of the Council. It consists of representatives of state institutions, the industry and science.

The opening meeting of the Council, during which its members will elect the Chairperson, will be held on 20 September 2022 at the head office of the Central Office of Measures.
