2nd meeting of the WELMEC e.V Committee with the participation of the representative of GUM
On 3-5.11.2021, the 2nd meeting of the WELMEC e.V Committee (European Cooperation in Legal Metrology) was held with the participation of a representative of GUM. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting was held remotely.
During the meeting, a number of issues related to the functioning of WELMEC e.V. were discussed, such as approving the work plans of WELMEC e.V. working groups dealing with measuring instruments of importance to society, such as water meters, electricity meters and taximeters. In addition, the report was approved on the work of the organization in 2020, detailing the specific activities in progress. As part of the WELMEC management continuity, 2 new members of the Executive Board of WELMEC e.V., the body that oversees day-to-day operation of WELMEC e.V., were elected, and the financial report on the activities of the organization was approved.
The next meeting is scheduled for May 2022 in Braunschweig or online.
