Central Office of Measures co-founder of WELMEC e.V.!

On November 21st, 2019, the Central Office of Measures (GUM) became one of the founding countries of WELMEC e.V. - a new metrology organization originally based on WELMEC (European Cooperation in Legal Metrology).
During the founding meeting of WELMEC e.V. on 21.11.2019 President of the GUM PhD Eng. Radosław Wiśniewski signed the founding act of the organization. The delegates elected the new authorities of the association (the representative of Switzerland became the chairman, and the representative of Austria became the vice-chairman) during that meeting. In addition, individual countries were acquainted with the work on the statute and work regulations of WELMEC e.V. as well as with financial information. It was agreed that the next meeting would take place in April 2020 in Berlin.
WELMEC e.V. has the status of an association under German law and associating most of the european countries.
