IUPAC award for professor Bulska

It is a great pleasure for us to inform you that Ms. professor Ewa Bulska from the Biological and Chemical Research Center at the University of Warsaw has been selected by International Union of Pure Chemistry (IUPAC) to the group of the most distinguished women in chemistry. The IUPAC Distinguished Women in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering awards program was initiated 2011. The year 2011 was declared by United Nations as the International Year of Chemistry and the IUPAC awards have been created to acknowledge and promote the work of women chemists/chemical engineers worldwide. In the current year the 12 new awardees have been selcted based on research excellence in chemical sciences. The other selection criteria were the distinguished accomplishments in teaching or education and contribution to the development and position taken by chemistry in the world of science.

The awarding ceremony took place on 11 August 2015 at the 45th IUPAC World Chemistry Congress 9-14 August 2015, Republic of Korea. We cordially congratulate Professor Ewa Bulska on award. Professor Bulska is intensively involved in the cooperation between Biological and Chemical Research Center at the University of Warsaw and the Central Office of Measures (GUM). The mutual cooperation has been set up in the agreement concluded by Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Janusz Piechociński, the President of GUM Ms. Janina Maria Popowska and Rector of the University of Warsaw Mr. Marcin Pałys.
